Tragic News: Kenyan pastor stabs wife and slits his own throat in Church

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17

A Kenyan pastor stabbed his wife to death and slit his throat during service on Sunday in what reports claim was a dispute over church ownership. The couple had been engaged in a long-running feud over the ownership and leadership of the church, Kiragu told CNN

Elijah Misiko, the assistant pastor of Ground for God’s Gospel Church (GGGC) in Mombasa, Kenyan, approached his wife, senior pastor Ann Mughoi, in the pulpit and stabbed her with a knife he had hidden in an envelope, Complex reports. He then turned his murder weapon on himself, and slit his own throat.

It is important that we have our mind on Christ, be focused on the teachings of the Lord. Hear the Word daily. We are so blessed in this season and time we live in a century filled with various technology. Everything you want is at the touch of a button.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Phil 2:5

Everyone has an enemy of their soul, from the richest to the poorest, The kings of this world, the presidents, the prime ministers, the business tycoon, the white-collar office worker, the unemployed, the student.

Some might be depression, sin, loneliness, alcohol, adultery, greed, dissatisfaction, jealousy, insecurity, self-doubt, anger etc.  We all have daily battles we wrestle with within our minds.

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:29

This is why it is important you guard your heart, you guard your mind, be selective on what you focus on, be selective on what you think on. If your mind wanders to self-destructive, parasite eating, dark things you must be able to quickly realize that you are slipping into a dark place, moving out of the circle of light, a circle of protection where Jesus dwells.

Live consciously, live purposefully and make a daily check on your heart, is it filled with love, forgiveness, humility, contentment, faith, steadfastness, patience, motivating yourself with things that will elevate you, empower you, give you the strength o believe in Gods impossibility.

That ALL things are possible. HE  can change your story around within 24hrs, He can give you a testimony that is just mindblowing all within a twinkle of an eye.

The Bible tells us our God takes pleasure in doing good.

So if someone dupes you of your belonging you have sweated all your life for, just trust God, your husband of 20 years, leaving you with 4 kids for a younger model and you think the best way of inflicting pain on him is killing your children and yourself!…

Jesus says come to me, I see your pain, I hear your cry, I feel your pain. I am with you, just believe that I will make a way for you.

Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth good with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deut 31:6

Revenge is mine says the Lord Romans 12:19 … If there is a revenge to be taken leave it to God who created both of you.

Yours is to dwell on God. Keep your mind in Christ. Let him strengthen you, let him give you peace. He is Jehovah Shalom, who gives peace and has you in the palms of His hands.
